SOUND SANCTUARY: A JOY UNKNOWN Fall 2026 at MacKay United

OTTAWA — September 2026 — Sound Sanctuary continues this fall with A Joy Unknown, a series of evenings where music and poetry share the same space.

The next evening is Tuesday, October 6 at 7 p.m. The series continues through November, with a final evening on Tuesday, December 1.

Each evening brings musicians and poets together in the MacKay sanctuary. Jazz, improvisation and poetry meet in a setting shaped by attentive listening.

Sound Sanctuary grew from MacKay’s long-running Music & Meditation series. The new name reflects a broader sense of what these evenings have become: music, poetry, listening.
